There are many controversies over G-Dragon's performance that was marked as an offense for an immoral performance and also said that it infringed the youth protection laws. We have to recognize that the core of this controversy is the freedom of a creator and that we cannot overlook the freedom of the audience who has the right to enjoy a creator's expressions and results.

This controversy this time is very ambiguous. What is the standard for obscenity? Is it when someone feels sexually harassed or is it when someone thinks that it is simply too erotic? But it’s not like the police could just pick a random person that was at G-Dragon’s concert and ask "Was that too obscene for you?"

There is no set standard for something that is erotic or for something that is obscene and this controversy is equivocal. Also, performers were not naked that made the audience feel like they were watching an 18A performance. Then was the performance obscene because it was about sex? Our society that corners sex as obscene is more abnormal.

Saying that there is a problem with a performance that makes one think about sex is a problem itself since that could mean sex=immoral. Well it’s a whole different problem if G-Dragon's performance was too explicit; however, his performance was short and people had various opinions about it.

The start of this controversy and tragedy was the opinion differences between the audience and the public that was saying G-Dragon's performance was immoral. This eventually led more than 1000 of the audiences that were at G-dragon's concert to turn in a petition to the prosecution.

These people turned in a petition saying "For the obscene performance crime the audience has to agree with the fact that the performance was obscene and over the line; however, G-Dragon's concert was not obscene at all and it did not sexually harass us in any way." Also, these people said the performance as a whole cannot be judged by the short moment.

The more important thing is the freedom of creation. A society that threatens the freedom of creation for musicians makes a society where there is no cultural variety. If G-Dragon's two-hour-long concert is valid as obscenity because of the momentary performance during it, then this is invading the freedom and the rights of a creator.

Andy (28) of Shinhwa and “We Got Married” will be enlisting in the military on January 11th. In preparation, Andy will have a fan meeting and release a digital single.

Eric, Kim Dong-wan, and Junjin have already enlisted, but Andy, Shinhwa’s mangnae (youngest member) will be the first of Shinhwa to serve active duty. Andy gave up his American citizenship in 2003, and is required to serve in Korea’s military for about 2 years.

On January 11th, Andy will head off to 6 months of basic training at Nonsan Military Training Center and then enter active duty.

Before that, Andy will have a fan meeting “ANDY Farewell Party Bye For Now” on January 9th, in Sungdong-gu at Sowol Art Hall. Andy will also release a digital single “One Love” (사랑 하나) on the day of his enlistment, January 11th.

Fellow member Minwoo, will also be enlisting this year, after putting off military service for about 2 years already. Minwoo was scheduled to have his last concert before enlistment on January 16th and 17th, but after a serious car accident, Minwoo injured his neck, back, and ankles, and is currently recovering.

The final member of Shinhwa, Shin Hye-sung, will not be serving in the military, due to a previous injury.

So basically the Paley Center for Media is like a museum for TV shows. They have panels like Comic-Con and people get to ask questions after a moderator asks questions about the shows, their developments, the cast, etc etc.

Today, they had a panel that featured the cast of the TV show How I Met Your Mother. People who had tickets got to watch a screening of the 100th episode and ask questions, etc. If you want to read about the highlights of the panel, click here (it's their twitter - they had live updates as the panel was going on).

Every year Paley has a thing called PaleyFest, which features a bunch of panels for hit TV shows. So far, the Paley Center has added these shows to the PaleyFest 2010 line-up: Modern Family, LOST, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Glee, The Vampire Diaries and Dexter. The full line-up will be announced on their website at 01/20/10, so remember to check for that. Member tickets go on sale 01/22/10, and general public tickets go on sale 01/24/10.

I went to one of these things for Parks & Recreation and I actually got tickets really late and they ended up being closed-circuit, meaning I had to watch the whole thing in a room. But after it was over they all came out and took pictures and stuff. Aziz was hilarious. I wanted to meet Amy of course but she dodged out of there from the back door I think. Met Paul Schneider, the guy who plays Mark (Ann's boyfriend). He insisted on taking a picture with me and my friend lol. "Cool! I got both of my chins in the picture!"

The 'Bachelor' contestant dismissed from the reality show for an alleged affair with a producer insists, "I did not have a sexual relationship with a producer on the show." In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Rozlyn Papa says that 'The Bachelor' execs fired her for an "inappropriate relationship" with a producer, but "what they mean by inappropriate relationship is not what inappropriate relationship means in the real world."

The episode depicting Papa's termination from 'The Bachelor' will air January 11, during the season's second episode, but the 28-year-old model insists that her actions have been exaggerated by the show. "I had a relationship with someone on the show that didn't benefit them," she says of the producers.

"This is a TV show and it's made for entertainment, but it is a far cry from reality," Papa explains. "I know that things on television weren't always as they seemed, but I had no idea the extent of the show manipulation."

Papa is no longer dating the producer, who was also fired, but she claims they have remained close. 'The Bachelor' host Chris Harrison said after the two were fired, "It was an incident that we've never had to deal with before. It was tough for everyone, the crew, the women and Jake. Hopefully we can quickly move past this and it won't dominate the season. But definitely everyone will see what happens."

Harrison continued, "An unfortunate decision was made by one of the girls and one of the crew members and the rest you'll have to watch and see."

Papa disagrees. "I am going to hold my head high, I do not regret anything that happened," she says.

SNSD's Yuri (given name Kwon Yuri) became a freshman of Chung-Ang Universities class of 2010. (*note in Korea, "Class of _____" is determined by the year that you enter University)

Newsen posted on the 6th of January "Yuri has decided to enter Chung-Ang University".

Yuri passed Chung-Ang University's first advanced entrance exam for the entertainment arts program for the school year of 2010, and also Dong-Guk Universitie's early entrance exam as well. Yuri chose to become a member of Chung-Ang University, which made her an alumni of SNSD member Sooyoung.

The other SNSD member that will be going to University this year, maknae Seohyun, chose to enter Dong-Guk University for the Entertainment Arts Program.

After Child(ren) of Empire made a name change to ZE:A (acronym of 제국의 아이들, ‘Children of Empire’ in Korean), fans of the Brown Eyed Girls have been protesting that the name is too similar to their fellow group member, Jea.

Well, it seems like the hard work of protesting worked, because ZE:A’s agency Star Empire Entertainment officially stated that ZE:A will NOT be pronounced Je-Ah, but fully “Jaeguk eh Ah-e-deul” (‘Children of Empire’) in Korean.

"[ZE:A] just took their first step in their debut, and we thought that it wasn’t appropriate to have conflicts unrelated to music affecting the group. We have come to this decision because we respect the opinion of Brown Eyed Girls’ fans."

Since this is just a pronounciation issue, it’s believed that this group will continue under the name “ZE:A” in text.

After partnering up with Warner Music Chinese Mandarin Group as well as Sony Music, ZE:A recently released their first album Nativity as well as a MV for their song, Mazeltov. ZE:A is now scheduled to have a showcase on the 13th and meet up with fans.

I think Star Empire Entertainment made the right decision – I mean come on, do we really want some big conflict over a name? I don’t think so.

Don't mess with BEG fans, y'all~

The LAPD investigation into Michael Jackson's death has been completed and the case will go the D.A. within weeks, law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... and, we're told, it's all but certain Dr. Conrad Murray will be criminally charged in MJ's death.

Our sources say detectives completed their investigation late last month and the case will be formally presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney as soon as scheduling allows. Turns out ... the presentation will draw quite the crowd. A number of members of the LAPD and the D.A.'s office will be present, and finding a date when everyone can show is a little tricky ... but we're told it will happen in a matter of weeks.

One very informed source says the LAPD investigation was "exhaustive" and "extremely thorough" and the D.A. has enough evidence to pull the trigger on a criminal case against Dr. Murray. That said, we're told the case is complicated, in part because Dr. Murray did not break any laws in administering Propofol to Jackson.

One law enforcement source connected with the case notes the D.A. has been actively working with the LAPD and it's all but certain the case will be filed. As for the charge -- a decision has not been made, but our sources say the likelihood is involuntary manslaughter, which requires a showing of gross negligence.
